Kaye Whitener has developed a unique perspective on life and business during her 35-year career in the flooring industry through a wide range of experience from sales to marketing to motivational speaking. (She was even a booking agent in the music industry for nearly 13 years!)  Her spectrum of skills and strengths come as the result of her positions with major flooring manufacturers in both the residential and commercial sectors as well as her experience as a successful high-end retail, commercial and builder account manager.

A strong background in installation and estimating combined with her selling strengths, personality, project management skills, marketing experience, and product knowledge has allowed her to become one of the leading sales and motivational speakers.

In her role as National Manager Client Relations, Kaye continues to work closely with WFCA members to help educate and train for this ever-changing industry. In January 2020, she assumed a position with the newly formed Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF). The mission of the FCEF is to bring awareness to the opportunities that exist in the flooring industry, recruit new talent, aid in the funding of the student’s education, and facilitate job placement for these individuals into the flooring industry.

“The future of our industry is at a critical crossroads that demands our immediate attention. The labor shortage crisis is not something one group can begin to address successfully without the total commitment and support from everyone in the floor covering industry. We must all take ownership of the problem and unite to be part of the solution.”

Kaye’s goal, as a representative and advocate for the FCEF, is to create and lead initiatives that foster a positive impact today and build a career pathway for the youth of tomorrow.
