Founder and Principal
The Vision Group
BJ Miller, FASID, CCIM, combines her expertise in real estate, design, urban development, and senior living to bring leadership, vision, and cohesion to complex projects. In 1992, she founded The Vision Group Studios, a commercial interior design firm that she still heads today.
Devoting the decade of her forties to real estate, she founded Urban Redevelopment Alliance (URA) based in Johnson City, Tennessee, in 2003. In the ensuing decade, URA would lead the development and renovation of over 500,000 s.f. of the historic building stock in downtown Johnson City. BJ’s role on local boards (PBA/JCDA) served as a catalyst for the public private partnerships required in the gentrification of the urban fabric. The decade of her fifties have involved a deeper dive into senior living operations, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Architecture at UNL and receiving a certificate in gerontology in 2016 as part of that program.
In 2017 she joined forces with Paradigm Atlantic, a senior living management company, as managing director. The collective group recently launched Indigo, a small house assisted living model with plans to roll out a portfolio of this innovative residential model of care. In October 2017 she was elected chair of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) National Board of Directors, where she currently serves as past-chair of the board.
