The theme of the event, Design is a Journey, is reflective of Finkell’s recent travels to Africa and the ever-evolving importance of designers in the advancement of residential and commercial interiors. As moderator of the panel, Finkell will lead discussions that address the changing landscape of interior design and the role of designers in the new millennial age. Mark Woodman CMG, a passionate designer, trend-spotter, writer and accredited speaker, has designed interiors, consulted on diverse product lines, and contributed to the pages and airwaves of media, and the stages of international exhibitions.
He has spent his life traveling and absorbing the richness of the world around him. His unique perspective allows him to weave stories and solutions of design and color from influences as diverse as cuisine and fashion, home décor and automotive. Through the world of color and design his consultancies include Corian® Design’s Solid Surface and Quartz products, 3M Post-Its, Canadian Tire’s Premier Paint Collection, Sherwin-Williams, and more. Mr. Woodman’s aesthetic understanding of “real-life” color and design helps balance his approach to product specification, complementing practical application with the excitement of the new. In addition, he facilitates trend panels for numerous companies and served extended terms as President of Color Marketing Group, the international non-profit association that studies and discerns color direction.

Brownlee Currey, Currey & Company
Brownlee Currey is president of Atlanta-based home furnishings maker, Currey & Company.
Currey, the son of company founders Robert and Suzanne Currey, grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. After finishing college, Currey worked five years for Crate & Barrel in Chicago and Detroit. He returned to Atlanta in 2001 to work for Currey & Company where he has worked in every department in the company. His previous position was heading the recently created contract and international sales department.
Currey & Company designs and manufactures lighting fixtures, lamps and accessories as well as furniture, which has recently been added to the line. It is known in the industry for its distinctive designs and the care with which they are crafted and finished. The company has facilities in Atlanta, the Philippines and China, showrooms in High Point, Dallas and Atlanta, and a national sales force of 36 representatives.
Loretta Willis, Loretta’s Interior Design, LLC
Interior designer Loretta J. Willis, Allied ASID, is known for combining functionality with beauty to enhance the everyday experiences of her clients. For her, interior design is not just a job but a devotion to helping others fall in love with their homes.
No matter the space, Loretta’s designs consider the emotional, relational and physical activities that take place within it. Her passion and approach are born of her own family influences. Loretta’s father was in the Air Force and her large family moved often. “Our homes were always very simple, but my mom found ways to add special touches of warmth,” says Loretta. “Somehow, she always made our home special.”
Inspired by her mother’s influence, Loretta headed to Florida State University to major in interior design and business. After college, she spent eight years working in corporate management before launching her interior design company, Loretta’s Interior Design LLC. Throughout her early career, she never lost her touch for the home – often helping friends with interior design projects for fun.
“These friends helped me to realize that design is my passion, and I started to ask myself why I was working in corporate management,” Loretta says with a chuckle. “I didn’t want to look back on my life and regret not having done what I was born to do.” Ready to follow her destined path, Loretta left the corporate world to receive her credentials from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and launched her business in 1995.
Today, Loretta is a celebrated and sought-after designer whose expertise has landed her work on the pages of Southern Home, Living Magazine and Solutions at Home, to name just a few. In 2018, she was named one of the Best 21 Interior Designers in Georgia by The LuxPad.
Mollie Surratt, Mollie Surratt Marketing and Interiors
Mollie is usually speeding in with an oversized Louis Vuitton bag full of pull ups, Stila lip gloss and paint swatches—with a latte in hand. She’s got a great eye for interiors that translates to, well, real life. Born and raised in a suburb north of Atlanta, Mollie grew up in her family’s growing couture bridal business. Today, her family’s business, bridals by lori, is the stage of the hit TLC reality show Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta. You can sneak a peek of Mollie on the show from time to time alongside her mother, store owner and star, Lori Allen.
Upon meeting her husband and relocating to north Georgia in 2006, Mollie spent 12-years in a blazer and heels leading two of the world’s largest flooring and carpet manufacturers in public relations, communications and inbound marketing. Here, her teams won over 20 local and national marketing awards. However, in 2018, Mollie finally decided to take a long-awaited leap of faith. Feeling the pull to spend more time with her daughters and follow her dream, Mollie left the corporate world to begin Mollie Surratt Marketing & Interiors. With her, she brings rich experiences in couture bridal fashion, worldwide travel and a passion for interior design. Her design perspective is eclectic, considerate and sophisticated- with a huge dash of fun and humor in the mix.
